Daniel B. Blaser, President

Daniel B. Blaser is senior vice president of finance and legal at Extell Development Company, one of the leading real estate developers in New York City. He holds a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.

In addition to his service on the Board of the Jewish Communal Fund, Mr. Blaser serves on the Board of UJA-Federation of New York and is a member of the Board and Executive Committee of Mem Global. He is an alumni of JFNA’s National Young Leadership Cabinet and a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program.

Ellen T. Horing, Chair, Executive Committee

Ellen T. Horing is the founder of Highgate Partners, L.P. and ETH Corp, a family investment office, and a founding partner of Sterling Stamos, later partially sold to Merrill Lynch. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from the University of Colorado, and studied at the London School of Economics.

A dedicated philanthropist, she is a member of Neshamot and has led initiatives supporting women and children at risk, including financial literacy and college readiness programs at Harlem Village Academies. She also founded A Cure in Our Lifetime, which has raised over $2 million for breast cancer research.

Mrs. Horing serves on the Board of UJA-Federation of New York and the Executive Board of American Friends of Tel Aviv University, where she chairs the Investment Committee. She is a member of the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University and a Fellow of Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative. She is the mother of three daughters.
