Rachel Schnoll, JCF's CEO

Rachel Schnoll is the CEO of the Jewish Communal Fund (JCF). In this role, she oversees the largest Jewish donor advised fund in the country and helps to facilitate philanthropy for 6,600 fundholders. JCF boasts a track record of over 50-years of strong governance, prudent management, and making charitable giving simple and efficient for its fundholders. Since JCF was founded in 1972, its fundholders have granted more than $10 billion to charity.

Rachel joined JCF in June 2022 from Goldman Sachs. She brings to JCF more than two decades of experience in asset and wealth management. As a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, Rachel led and grew a digital client experience platform for financial advisors. She also headed the Product Strategy group of Goldman Sachs Asset Management where she led teams focused on communicating, launching, and governing mutual funds, ETFs, and other financial products.

Throughout her career, Rachel has focused on helping individuals achieve financial clarity, confidence, and control. Her roles in wealth and asset management organizations have delivered investment strategies and digital solutions to help people achieve their financial goals and live rich, fulfilling lives. She is honored to continue this effort in the philanthropic world.

Rachel is a graduate of Brandeis University and earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School. She is deeply committed to her Jewish heritage and is an active lay leader in the Jewish community. She serves as a trustee of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) Eisner Crane Lake Camp and as a trustee of the Brooklyn Heights Synagogue.

Rachel lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and three children.


Marina Lewin, Senior Vice President & COO

Marina joined Jewish Communal Fund as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer in September, 2022. Previously, she served as the Chief Operating Officer at Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) since December 2016, following a high-profile career in banking. During her tenure at FJC, Marina led the creation of a strategic plan that evolved through the COVID crisis, and the organization grew to an annual budget of $17 million with 37 full time staff.

Marina served as the Global Head of New Business Development for BNY Mellon, where she successfully managed large teams in complex and competitive environments. She was consistently recognized and promoted for her ability to profitably grow businesses, develop strong client relationships, and develop, coach, and mentor talent within the organization. She was selected as one of The Hedge Fund Journal’s 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds in 2013.

Marina serves on the Board of the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan. She believes deeply in the importance of Jewish continuity and philanthropy. Marina received her BA degree from Barnard College/Columbia University and MBA from New York University.


Ashley Clemente, Chief Technology Officer

Ashley Clemente is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the Jewish Communal Fund (JCF), where he leads the strategic development and implementation of technology solutions that bring about enhanced business operations. Since joining JCF in 2021, Ashley has spearheaded the creation of a custom Client and Grants Management Portal, significantly enhancing the donor experience and streamlining daily operations. This portal runs on a robust and reliable infrastructure, ensuring continued efficiency.

Ashley brings over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, with a strong focus on the non-profit landscape. Prior to JCF, he served as CTO at FIDF, where he led a global IT transformation, unifying operations and implementing innovative fundraising and digital systems. Additionally, Ashley played a key role in Autism Speaks’ cloud modernization, collaborating closely with leadership and co-founders as their Senior Director of IT.

Prior to working in the non-profit sector, he began his career in the insurance brokerage industry, spending 12 years at Alliant Insurance (formerly Tanenbaum Harber). During this time, he held roles of increasing responsibility, managing IT infrastructure, telecom operations, and IT due diligence through the company’s M&A phase.

Ashley holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from Mumbai, India. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and watching soccer with his son.


Michelle Lebowits, Vice President, Philanthropic Services

Michelle Lebowits is the Vice President of Philanthropic Services at the Jewish Communal Fund. In this capacity, she leads the JCF client services team, empowering individuals and families to achieve their philanthropic aspirations. Michelle’s expertise has facilitated the annual granting of over $1 billion in charitable grants and over $3 billion in assets under management. She collaborates closely with JCF’s 6,600 Fundholders on succession planning, legacy development, next-generation engagement, and managing complex assets.

Under Michelle’s stewardship, JCF’s Private Client Services have been enhanced to offer personalized solutions, including dedicated Private Client representatives, investment consulting through JCF’s independent advisor, diversified investment opportunities, international grantmaking support, and philanthropic consulting. Michelle and the client services team curate thought-provoking events, content, and tools to assist Fundholders in realizing their philanthropic goals. They work in concert with esteemed advisors such as single- and multi-family offices, trust and estate attorneys, accountants, and wealth managers to maximize client benefits and oversee JCF’s advisor network.

Prior to her tenure at the Jewish Communal Fund, Michelle spearheaded the Investment Management Division at UJA-Federation of New York and held the position of Director for Young Leadership at AIPAC. Michelle is an honors graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and currently resides on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with her husband and son.


Melanie Marchfeld, Vice President, Grants Administration

Since joining JCF in 2000, Melanie Marchfeld has witnessed firsthand the organization’s incredible growth. Back then, JCF issued roughly 20,000 grants annually, totaling $200 million. Today, under her leadership, the Grants Team processes an impressive 80,000 grants exceeding $1 billion. Melanie is passionate about ensuring efficient and compliant grantmaking for JCF’s fundholders. Instrumental in this growth, she implemented procedures and adopted technology to streamline the process. 

Driven by the Jewish value of tikkun olam, Melanie’s commitment extends beyond JCF. For over 10 years, she has volunteered at the Rhoda Bloom Kosher Food Pantry, earning recognition as a Rockland Jewish Family Service Unsung Hero in 2022. 

Melanie has a Bachelor’s Degree from Washington University and an Executive Master of Public Administration from Baruch College. She lives in Rockland County, NY, with her husband and two children. 


Igor Musayev, Vice President, Investment Services

Igor brings over 17 years of financial expertise to the Jewish Communal Fund (JCF), where he currently serves as the Vice President of Investment Services. He leads the organization’s investment and contribution services, ensuring the long-term sustainability and growth of JCF’s donor advised funds. 

His career with JCF began in October 2007 as a Financial Analyst. His leadership and analytical skills played a pivotal role in supporting the JCF’s expanding Finance Department. Prior to JCF, Igor gained valuable experience in retail banking. 

Igor holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Baruch College and lives in Brooklyn with his wife and six children.  


Nicola Rosenstock, General Counsel

Nicola Rosenstock is General Counsel of the Jewish Communal Fund. In her role, Nicola provides legal guidance on a broad range of matters, including charitable giving, complex asset contributions, and grantmaking. She works closely with JCF’s leadership and Fundholders to ensure compliance and support the Fund’s philanthropic mission.

Nicola joined JCF after more than two decades in private practice, most recently at Ropes & Gray LLP. Her practice focused on representing institutional investors—including foundations, endowments, family offices, pension plans, funds of funds, banks, and insurance companies—in their investments in alternative assets such as private funds, direct investments, and managed accounts. She also advised fund sponsors on fund formation, employment and compensation matters, and regulatory compliance.

Nicola is passionate about using her legal expertise to support and strengthen Jewish communal life. She believes deeply in the role of philanthropy in sustaining the institutions that uphold our values and provide a vital social safety net.

She holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Nicola lives in White Plains, NY, with her husband and four children.
